Western-Central Lower Michigan | Prostate cancer is normally slow growing, and its ok to wait and see. I just couldnt do that so I wanted it GONE(robotic surgery).
I wonder if the medical knowledge on Prostate cancer and treatments is always sound, after all once it beyond the "gland" and in the lymph nodes the consequences are not very good. I guess age can play a big part in what to do. If you are 75 or 80 you can wait and see. Probably not a good candidate for surgery anyway at advanced age.
Several years ago, the medical guys were promoting "cryosurgery", where dry ice pellets were placed in the prostate. (same as radioactive pellets) I lost a friend who opted for that treatment, it didnt do what they thought, but in theory it sounded pretty good..
