Ragweed, foxtail, lambsquarter and cockleburs are prime forage this time of year to a cow if they're broke to eat weeds


Aren't cockleburs poisonous?

I agree that all the other species on the list are decent forage if they're still vegetative. Mom's cattle aren't much for eating common ragweed, but my hair sheep will strip them down to just a stick.
