Looking for someone to replaster my 18x60 stave silo. located in NE iowa. I know there's a Jet-Crete outfit in Harpers Ferry? but I was told plastering is better? anyone have any ideas thanks

I would trust shotcrete over hand-plastering. It's applied with more force, goes on stiffer, and is a thicker layer than plastering. As far as I know, shotcreting is the only method used for recoating silos. We had a 24x80 and a 20x70 done here about ten years ago. At their recommendation, they coated the lower 3/4 of the silo. They pressure-washed going up with their monopole scaffold, and shotcreted coming down. In each case, it was one long day's work. Back then, it was somewhere around $8k per silo, but I have no idea what it would be now.
