SW Wisconsin | I'm sure it's a bit local, but I'm really curious if somebody can answer the value question better than I can.
I've got a few roughly similar heifers I may be looking to move in a couple months. I'll be cutting back to 60 due to calve (74 possible bred) after preg checks. If the best I could do with an extra cow would be too shoot her and bury her, I'd say the floor on the heifers would be about $1200. More for cull cows = more for heifers. I would really hope for at least $1800, at $2500 I would actually be making money on them. | |
