Ontario | My last mix was 16 alfalfa 2 orchard and 2 timothy and I've been very happy with it but I'm going to go heavier orchard next time like the mix you're considering. As for the leaf hopper it would depend on where you're at. I would always push customers towards tolerant varieties in our area if they were on a two cut system and typically let it stand longer, but if you're going to be cutting on an aggressive schedule and want longevity I'd focus on fall dormancy and winter hardiness indexes and take the LH tolerance as a nice bonus. WL358LH is a good variety that is good in a few of those categories and is hopper tolerant. | |
