Southern Missouri | We desiccate every acre of soybeans here , on a warm fall day in 24 hrs you can see where every droplet of gramoxone landed on green soybeans , have had helicopters and planes do it for years , our soybeans are much to thick canopy to ever use a ground rig for that job , 3 years ago we had drone do the desiccation, the job difference between the drone and any other type aerial rig sent us to buy a drone right then , very close to ground rig , helicopter or plane wouldn’t even begin to get close to any houses , buildings, neighbors crops and when I say not close we’re talking hundred feet or more , I will say I don’t blame those guys at all for not getting close , but a drone on a calm day can get a very good job done. Having our own makes it easy to catch calm morning or evening and get close as we want to around any house or crop , like I say , I wouldn’t farm as we do without one , having used it for two years I don’t understand anyone spraying at 40 feet high with a drone , something wrong there as per our experience, we’ll be desiccating our March planted beans in two weeks , with a drone | |
