Midwest | 69Cat - 8/2/2024 08:05 Seems the used JD components is as expensive as buying something like a basic AgLeader system brand new. I wouldn't say S3 is sub par, if so the Trimble 750 is Fisher Price classification. I much prefer the S3. What would make paying more for a JD system so much better at steering a machine vs a Outback system? If I can find JD for reasonable price then I wouldn't mind going that way, I just don't see a need to pay more for JD because there is some components already installed. I suppose that is why I am asking what my options are. I don't have any JD stuff but if it is a simple and cost effective option then I can do that. But if I can interface an Outback system just as easily, for less $$ then why wouldn't I, especially if I can fit an S3 and then have redundant components on the farm. Or maybe an AgLeader is even easier to connect in, I don't know.
New prices for JD and Ag Leader are about the same when it comes to screen, steering, etc. It's not like machinery prices
Used prices, JD is lower or same as the others. If you already have JD - ready components in the machine it makes sense to go that way. |
