Subject: RE: Drive vs Trailer Mini Excavator

NW Ohio,near Findlay
I have a Deere 35D, if that makes a difference, I track mine some, not over a 1/2 mile, just a fence row job, you would add up a few miles, but not at one time. Undercarriages will wear, but not really from tracking distances. Look at tracked skid steers, operators drive them fast and hard with all the turning those machines do, but that system is way heavier than all mini hoes. I wish all mini excavators would have a better track system, more bottoms rollers, maybe a track guide rail. I can run my tracks off walking with a loaded bucket, with the idlers in front, drive at the back. If the need to turn on sod backfilling trench, uneven ground, have drive sprockets on the heavy end. End of rant, have done it only a few times, not fun to get back on.
