Subject: RE: Adding autosteer to Claas Lexion with Autopilot

Seems the used JD components is as expensive as buying something like a basic AgLeader system brand new. I wouldn't say S3 is sub par, if so the Trimble 750 is Fisher Price classification. I much prefer the S3. What would make paying more for a JD system so much better at steering a machine vs a Outback system?

If I can find JD for reasonable price then I wouldn't mind going that way, I just don't see a need to pay more for JD because there is some components already installed. I suppose that is why I am asking what my options are. I don't have any JD stuff but if it is a simple and cost effective option then I can do that. But if I can interface an Outback system just as easily, for less $$ then why wouldn't I, especially if I can fit an S3 and then have redundant components on the farm. Or maybe an AgLeader is even easier to connect in, I don't know.
