My first Hudson had a screen cone in the inlet which did eventually slow the flow. Cleaning the screen occasionally was necessary.
I noticed the newest Hudson has a slightly different arrangement that uses a built in plastic screening device.
I have one Hudson in a vertical storage tank fed with a 1" hose rather than a garden hose from the hydrant. This tank has connections with valves and quick couplers to three other tanks in the mixing shed. This give us various combinations for fertilizer and water at planting time.
For post season spraying, we can use all four tanks for water. This is helpful since my farm well cannot keep up with our use. Having four tanks gives us enough reserve capacity to spray all day. The well replenishes the supply over night.
the 120 foot booms on the sprayers sure take a big well !!!!!
