Subject: RE: Sprayer Tender Tank Float Valve

Faunsdale, AL
I have a Hudson in the manhole of my tender truck tank. I have had its float get out of position but it’s rare. I have a dozen or more of the valves around from years ago, so I grabbed another one and replaced the one that had the problem and haven’t had any trouble since. Over the 30 years I’ve had Hudson valves there have been several changes to the float design and I may have had one of the old ones in there. The most recent design is pretty robust!

The biggest problem with the Hudsons has always been sand in the water supply if you happen to have that.

I have a short hose attached to the piping feeding the Hudson so I can connect at ground level but don’t have any excess hose to roll up before I leave. Bought a set of the garden hose quick couplers from somewhere to speed up hooking it up.
