Yeah I think you are understanding. The back of the bar where the sickles bolt to. It will get rounded when it wears out on the back side where it rides on the guards. The end guards should be missing the rib that it rides on. I am sorry I am not better at explaining this. I will have mine apart next week and can send pictures if needed
