I’ve had better results using the pumps that are metal and completely replace the plastic lid on the 5 gallon pail with a metal lid/pump combo. Not sure what brand I have but Menards had them on clearance a few years ago and I bought everything they had in stock.
The pumps that go into the plastic pail spout do not last and never seem to tighten on to the spout very good.
