Don’t cover but I do stick a bright orange painted rod through the intake to block the fan from turning due to wind. Bright orange and sticking out 3 feet so I don’t forget it’s there and try to start fan. Doesn’t take much wind to start it spinning. Figure there is no need to prematurely wear out fan bearings.
Anyone cover the intake on your centifugal aeration fans?
