Had Deere here about a month ago quoting a 616R. Here is the info he gave me.
410R and 412R are considered the smaller machine and can only run the smaller dry box. They are the same machines other than HP and tank size. 612R and 616R are the same machines except HP and tank size. Booms are universal through all 4 models. 400 series are like the old 4038 and 4044 and 612 and 616 are like the 4045 and 4060. Heavier frame, bigger driveline components.
When I asked about direct injection on 616R, it’s not an option from the factory. If you look at pictures 612R water rinse tank is above the solution tank and 616R is moved, for room, between the boom mast assembly for the 1600 gallon tank. This is where 2 50 gallon chem tanks sit on the 612R on the 4 tank direct injection system.
As far as 420’s. Salesman was pretty adamant about them. 380’s are available on the order sheet. Believe it’s mostly about weight ratings is their concern. We also had a very lengthy conversation about 750’s for floats instead of factory ordered 800’s. It was about half the money for the 750’s ordered outside of Deere vs. pricing on quote for 800’s. If I get a 616R, I really want a big tire for pre spraying, but it’s 23K more for the 800’s.
What do you mean when you say $23k more for 800? We bought brand new 800 on rims straight out for less than that |
