Subject: 412R VS 612R where is the extra weight coming from

West Central Oklahoma
I've been comparing the newer john deere sprayers and wondering if someone could tell me where the extra weight is coming from for the 612R which would have the same boom and options as the 412R. The dimensions appear to be similar for the 2 machines except for the tire size according to the owners manuals. I'm guessing the extra weight is from maybe a heavier frame, tires, planetaries or something else? Any guesses?

I've also been wondering about another weight question for a 616R deere sprayer. It is several thousand pounds heavier than the 612 but I'm not sure if that weight is coming from the larger tank or if the chassis is even a little more heavier built. What thoughts would everyone have about this sprayer being practical in a row crop (peanuts and cotton) situation in an area with deep sand and hilly terrain in places? Would i be correct in assuming a guy would want the 420 mm tires on this sprayer? If anyone could enlighten me with any info I would be very appreciative of that.

Thanks in advance.

steve
