| What were the results of your previous biopsy, and how long ago were they?
Sounds like an mri and another biopsy are in order, then go from there
I have a friend who has had PSA from 6 to 8 for 5 years. Think hes had 2 or 3 biopsies, but they always come back Gleason 6 in 3 cores, and very small percentages. Hes been on Active Survelience and will keep checking it. He wondered what I thought, having gone through it and researched it a lot. I agreed with his Drs to keep watching it and dont do anything yet.
When you get the biopsy results back, if its positive, have them send it to Johns Hopkins for another opinion.
Where are you going to the urologist at? My Drs were in Kansas City, Most of the guys I have talked to in my area have gone to KU med. It was hard letting a Jayhawker do surgery on me, (LOL) but she had been doing them for 15 years and had done a lot of them.
