I didn't have a yearly physical for a few years, when I did my PSA was 12 that was in April
Late May I finally got in to the urologist,he spent 2 m inutes with me and said he wanted an MRI so he could better target the biopsy
In June I got the MRI
In July I spent 10 minutes getting a biopsy, wasn't terrible,,,9 of 12 samples were cancer
In August I saw an oncologist who told me to take radiation and ordered a Pet scan to see if it had spread.
In September I had the Pet scan,,,nothing had spread
In October I took some pills that were supposed to lower testosterone and cause the tumor to shrink 10%
In November I started radiation
In December I got done

My Gleason score was 3 plus 4,,,, none of the doctors seemed to worry about the 6 months it took,,,but everytime I had hip or lower back pain I wondered. At 6.3 they just might test you every 3 months,,some doctors deal with this dozens of times every day,,you are just another appointment to them
