Wisconsin | Are there herefords involved? Wood doesn't shrink in length, a log shrinks around the circumference of the rings quite a bit, and not as much across the grain. That could have warped from tension wood and the heat, but I bet something happened to it to push up that board like that. But if there weren't herefords around, then the heat and rain shock could have warped it. It didn't shrink lengthwise though. | |
