Latimer Iowa | We ran a 16 row Hiniker 6000 with 17 knives for many years. Good heavy built machine.
Pulled it with an 8650 4wd. Not enough power (or 3pt lift height) so about 4.5 mph. Then a 9200 4wd nice match but not real handy. Then a 8520mfwd. The 8520 was by far the nicest to run. Cultivating with an articulated is a skill.
After roundup crops came out and we quit banding chems with the planter I just had very narrow sweeps on it so could drive faster without covering up crop. | |
