Try adding a little hay preservative (prop acid) to the mix. A lot of commercial textured lamb creep has it. It keeps it fresh but I also think it helps repel flys.

Hubbard feeds has a formula, 6j26 I think, that is a very good mini pellet creep at a very reasonable cost. It will be special order at most Hubbard plants however.
