The Internet

The rail unions on here like to go on strike. A lot of people use the train to commute, particularly into London, but now there's fewer people using the trains because people can work from home. The rail companies are saying they can't afford to pay the drivers more (they're well paid) because ticket sales are down 25% with people working at home. The drivers still go on strike, and the customers don't care because they just have another day working at home, thus saving them a lot of time and money.

However, I get the impression, some of the discontent is caused by awarding the board and CEO big pay deals and bonuses when they have told the people on the shop floor that there's not enough in the pot for them. I'll bet if the staff got a bonus when the CEO did there would be next to no strikes and better staff-management relations.
