Your plasma is likely not using 80amp continuous unless you are 1" plus for constant cutting. A pierce lining up with the air compressor kick-in and heaters could happen though.
I wasn't cutting anything that thick, but had an 80a breaker and line ran to my hypertherm 85. That house garage only had 100a breaker though, so it was something I was watching.
