MB, Canada
This is a perfect situation for a wet well system. Line runs horizontal out of dugout to a 36" culvert set vertically with a bilge pump in the bottom. Bilge pump is activated by a motion sensor which pumps water up into a bowl that sits on the top of the culvert. Bowl has holes in it so excess water runs down back into the culvert. Completely maintenance free winter watering system built for Manitoba winters--only thing you might have to do once or twice a winter is clean out the bottom of the bowl in case you have a few cows who decide to throw up some feed into the bowl.

Kelln Solar has the setup here: https://kellnsolar.com/product-category/winter-water-systems-in-regi...

Talk to the folks at Northfork Ranch Supply about how to set up the wet well portion properly.
