Grew up with JD tractors with foot throttle and used them to gain a couple RPM's while roading. Almost never use them these days. My 8370 I purchased used has the foot throttle petal removed and have no reason to search out another. But I do find myself pushing the "imaginary" foot throttle when I need more power, probably from spending too much time in trucks.
