| I am late to the game, I know but wanted to say been fighting this battle for a year now. Rising psa led to mri and biopsy.
Dr said was low risk and we could just watch it. One other option was a ‘hi-fu’ procedure that used ultra sound to burn cancerous half of prosate guided by the mri info. Had to qualify for this new abatement.
Since I was low risk, had NOTspread beyond, and if it took off and got away control wise I couldnt qualify. I can always do it again or radiate later decided I didnt want to sit around all day wondering if getting worse.
No radiation burns, not much for side effects other than they leave cath in for a week. Felt like it was made out of broken razor blades******. Now few months later have strong stream back, much less misc. pains and can sleep all night without a potty run.
Think they got it all based on psa, will know more after dr apointment Wednesday. Highly recomend the Hi-Fu ultrasound treatment | |
