No, tetanus immunity isn't a thing. Yes, need a shot every 7-10 years, depending on the doctor you use.
I laid open a forearm on an old galvanized round hog feeder years ago, and couldn't convince the staff at the ER that I needed a tetanus shot, It was bizarre!
