Please dont take this wrong, but someone explain how the drone guys can charge the same or more than $500,000 planes or Hagies?
They do a better job and they cover the fraction of the acres a plane will in a day. Guy I have hired says 250 acres is a good day but biggest day so far is 160 acres here. First farm he ran other day was 110 acres on 1 field, next farm was 50 acres in 2 odd shaped fields. Plane last flew 1000 acres for us 1 day and moved to another in the area. No idea how many he covered that day but a bunch and this is in the land of 20-40 acre field is the norm however large chunk of your ground lays together. |
