King City, Mo | My wife and middle son are into chickens and the rest of us enjoy the eggs and watching the girls.
We had a coon climbing over our old fence so we built new last month.
5’ high, wood post every 8’ and 2x4 at top and bottom, 5’ high welded wire, and gravel along the bottom so varmits have trouble digging in.

Where we werent home till 11:30ish. We found a hen with her head ate again……..so planning an electric fence.
Do we run the wire at the top at 5’ or 2’ off the ground or do two runs of wire?
Also could put net over the run but would suck walking in it as im 6’ 3” tall and the net would be 5’
