You have two herbicides that are effective on their labeled perennials, Tordon and Remedy. (2,4-D, not so much ) I recommend allowing these herbicides to work as long as possible before clipping. This is particularly important if you were targeting any woody broadleaf perennials. Slow, long kills get the roots. Clipping halts translocation and you end up with suppression rather than a dead problem. First year biannual weeds work this way too.

If your weed problems were winter and summer annuals then once brown, the weeds are dead. Clipping these is no problem.

Good looks can be achieved whenever you wish. Just recognize the potential costs.
