southern MN | In the 1970s dad said never buy that type of plow, they leak and don’t hold pressure very well more often than not. A good design on paper but a nightmare to own in the real world in a farm environment over the years.
That design didn’t last real long, nor copied by many others. I’d guess they haven’t improved with age over 50 years sitting?
I found a nice 6 bottom on land plow at an auction for $900 a few years ago.
John Deere did a lot of things right, but their early plows and disks weren’t all that much. And this design was a bit worse than most. I’d look for something else if it were me.
