I know you haven't asked my opinion because I do not have a draper head. I have been watching posts carefully because I'm shopping for a new head also and it will be a draper. I just lost one whole day of cutting because of a broken cutter bar on a 635f auger head. It has been a great head and I defy any head to cut closer, but that single drive across that much cutter bar is just too far. Whatever I buy (probably a 40 ft of some brand which will probably be a jd will have dual drive. I don't care if there is more maintenance.

Why a whole day of down time? Could t patch it up and go?

Thought about that. Decided to replace almost all guards and some hold downs and a whole new knife. Expected it to break somewhere else. Yes. All day with 2 guys. Maybe I'm slow.
