King-4455, I agree with your comment. The OP's link is something that seems to happen daily. My theory (with no facts to prove it) big corporations lobby to get big government money, or eased regulations and this (currently DEI) is a hoop big corporations need to jump through to get it. The stock drops, a corporate change is made, apology issued. Devalued shares bought. Time moves on and all is forgotten. The rich get richer. This is an example of what has happened time and time again.



I think you are right. The government issues contracts and give sweetheart deals based on things such as how minorities and 'under served' people are treated by companies. I know firsthand of a couple works projects where the job was given to company A over company B simply because the demographics of their workers.
