East of Toronto, Canada | 6.8 litre motor in Deere 200DLC excavator. 4500 hours. All maintenance by the book. Head gasket leaking. When we pulled the head, discovered that the sleeves had dropped. They need to protrude .004 in order to make proper contact with the head gasket. Is this a common problem with this engine? What would cause the sleeves to slide down? I'm disappointed the engine requires a rebuild at 4500 hours. | |
