I agree with Central IL Farmer, we have been in the spray spray spray camp, this year though with prices being the way they are we are looking at it from an ROI standpoint like you are.

To piggyback on the point with John Smith, yes it does keep it wetter. You can probably figure 2-3%? So if you are flying it on and using a premium fungicide like Veltyma or Miravis Neo by the time you dry it 3% more and pay for the plane with chemicals you are looking at 40-50 an acre. 11-13 bushel and the average advantage according to Veltyma is 7 bushel. That’s does not pencil out this year. (As long as you don’t have tar spot)

I do like fungicide for the fact that it should have better plant health and stand longer, also you should be putting bug juice in to kill japs.
