Not to change the subject,but somewhat related. Local power co. is replacing poles (old). No problem--- but now they are starting to put guy wires out in my fields where none were before. Pita to go around. Do they have right to do this? Here the road easements are considered utility easements. No problem with that. But everytime a new subdivision goes in I get a new obstacle. Am I out of line to complain?,get my attorney involved? Seems to me to be an uncompensated taking.
They need permission for guy wires. If you don’t want them, don’t let them install them. I’ve declined one before. They do have other options, it’s not your problem that the other options cost a little more.
