Subject: Location, Location, Location.. corn basis popping in spots.

From SouthWest belt perspective.. 2022 was 85 to 185 bu Irrigated disaster.. zilch dryland.. OUCH!!

USDA papered over that..

last year was good 220 bu.. irrigated.. 85 bu dryland but not enough to carry over.. we moved 67% of the crop by end of harvest.

Shuttle loaders brought beau coup shuttles in 2022/23.. almost.. needing as much this year.. “when is the farmer gonna sell?”  Newsflash.. we ALREADY DID!!!

reports of like $2.00 over trading close to hear trucks.. close to firing up more trains.

Y'all May have it in Illinois or somewhere but now with the flooding.. South Dakota.. Minny.. where ever.. the buyers belly reserve just got strained.. so pucker time till fall crop.

Wheat harvest is winding down here.. lots of feed wheat at the tail end.. or pigweed/wheat ensilage for those interested..

Yes the perimeter made hay with a great fill period.. I 35 corridor.. NW Ks.. summer fallow country.. got to fill tillers.. ours died.. and we grew pigweeds instead.. “Yea”

… try again next year I guess.

got to go.. farm down 3’ tall water hemp.

… at least it rained.
