I think USDA uses info from the weather to come up with yields and I am guessing there formula isn't too accurate when it is too wet. If you look at the markets in 2019 it was too wet and USDA didn't adjust there yields until after the crop was harvested. I think that is when the took the 300 million bu. off of the carry. I would guess it might be similar this year.
