| The "it depends" gets a lot bigger every day on the calendar at this point, and your latitude is quite a ways north of mine, so "that depends" too.
In 2010, after several weeks of zero fieldwork we had a window June 28-July 2 and slammed in every bean possible with two of our planters and hired a neighbor to drill some too. It stayed warm and wet, and they were remarkably good. Like 42 bpa across 800 acres, and prices got better too, it was a win win win compared to the acres we had to prevented plant.
Since then, I think almost all the beans I've planted or replanted after June 20-ish have sucked. The only really redeeming feature I can think of is that we had a landowner who saw beans I replanted on July 5 who did a $30,000 tile job. |
