100 miles north of the NYC crapper | That was a nice one. I had a 71 gt with 351c and factory 4spd. Bought it in 1974 for $1700. Had the partial vinyl roof. It met an unfortunate end from the 20 year old idiot I was. I had that engine in 4 different cars including the yellow one above. The story on that one was the previous owner of the yellow one which was a factory 429 4sp Cobra ran it out of oil and threw a rod. I bought it for $700 and put the 351C in it. Was still plenty fast. I was rough on cars back in those days. Luckily I never killed anyone or myself. |
