Farmington, Mo
Hey Dan, we had similar issues here the past couple years with soybeans…the irony is, most of what we hear about is with alleopathy in corn…but our corn stands tend to be pretty good.

We have had to replant more beans this year than ever before due to crap weather after planting, heavy cover and slugs.

We seeded the rye too heavy last year and had excellent growth weather for it to boot…got out of hand quickly! This fall will be drilled at 25-30lbs vs 35-40. Still experimenting with the drone but no success last year…too dry early fall.

Hope you figure it out, we like what the cereal rye is doing to our soils here…like you, we struggle to quantify the benefits.
