Holland, Indiana (SW IN)
NESD FARM - 6/23/2024 13:08

How are cc adding to profitability of farm? Appears to have poor seedbed/stand establishment, severe insect pressure, extra equipment, extra time managing a crop that can't be harvested. I can understand holding the ground if it's hel ground, but otherwise what's the benefits that have been measured via the pocketbook?

Aside from helping with erosion I think our soil is much better
We are raising great yields on not very great soil types
We question every $ spent --
--No side by sides "before you ask" --we've been doing this in some form mostly forever

SO we think it pays BUT no way to prove it
