| In Iowa, my understanding is one can have the farm plate, farm use designated on the truck some where, or a letter stating the truck is for farm use only.
That way I can have my truck for farm use when farming and lease on to some one else to haul commercial part of the year.
It also allows me to avoid he sales tax by buying a prorated plate. Assuming, of course, I run 25% out of state.
I would assume Texas would be the same but I would sure look it up if I could. | |
