Anyone knowledgeable about electric grounding on trailer mounted generator?

We have many trailer generators at work. Most of them are in quarries. MSHA requires 3 ground rods at least 5 feet apart and 5 feet deep and an electrician to sign off on some kind of continuity test. If there is an asphalt plant on the property and the generator is working for that plant, no ground rods are required. Asphalt plants are exempt from MSHA when in a quarry. Welder/generators on trucks or trailers do not require any ground rods as long as they are not stationary.

A single ground rod would be would be enough for piece of mind.
