West Central Illinois | The green ground lug is bonded to the generator frame. Plastic fuel tank. Generator frame is bolted to the trailer frame.
What I can’t wrap my head around is how that provides a ground? Trailer and truck insulated from ground by rubber tires.
It would seem a short to the frame could cause it to be “hot” if you were standing on the ground and touched the trailer.
Back when I was wiring a solar inverter on my camper I watched a YouTube video on metal skinned campers having a short that caused that exact situation.
But I can’t find that video.
