N IL | I had the exact same situation last year (other than we were dry as a bone, so too much rainfall was not my problem) in my best field, drove me crazy. I couldn't determine a pattern. Had agronomist out, flew with drone, dug roots...nothing made sense.
We had used the 330 vertical till in the fall on bean stubble, it was hopping a little in the area that had the stunted corn, but the stunted corn was not in the 'beaver hut'.
In the end, the corn did not pull out of it. But the field was my highest yield nonetheless.
Please follow up if you crack the code.
