Southeast Colorado | I've got a twin basket Allen rake. I usually only use it when my windrows are really light. If they are heavy enough I just make round bales one windrow at a time. My baler will run faster than the rake anyway...........and I'm a one man show. I see a lot of other guys rake a couple of windrows together no matter what though. I did hire a guy with a big triple rake when my windows were so light I was having trouble picking up the hay. His big wheel rake did a great job...........way better than I could do with my basket rake.
