Had a 10 acre mostly grass field that for awhile was in some kind of NRCS “bird sanctuary” program. Weren’t allowed to mow it until after August 1st. Would get a heck of a 1st cutting, old growth plus newer stuff grown up through. Dry cows ate that fine. Then would spread liquid dairy manure and get a beautiful 2nd cut, usually wet wrapped end of September or early October

Growing up we would plant peas for cannery, then field corn, soybeans, then sweet corn for cannery. Spraying and sidedressing. Could fill the upright silo with first cutting in a couple days usually around Memorial Day. But by the time everything else was done many times the rest of the 1st cut hay to be cut & baled didn’t get mowed until the last week of June or early July. Unless everything is a contest with your neighbors over who is done first I wouldn’t worry about it, just do what you can
