Subject: RE: Grain leg Perpendicular or Parallel to Dump Conveyor

Grain country
We often install elevator parallel to conveyor so receiving conveyor can have valve installed to determine if it dumps into dry leg with dry grain headed to storage or wet elevator for grain headed to wet bin and dryer.
Dumping grain on down side of elevator whether dry or wet works well all the time. I prefer down side for wet grain as Dumping grain into upside it must be dumped in high enough or it will hinder capacity especially with grain higher than 25% moisture
