Right or wrong I always fill my 4830 until it comes out of the Overflow for a few seconds to make sure to get the foam out. seems to be about 1,050 gallons every time on the nose. Usually once a year I will put two 250 gallon totes of water in and then do a nozzle test until the pump Runs Out of Water and it usually seems to be within 1% or less which is good enough for me.
